Polycom KIRK Repeaters

Polycom KIRK Repeaters extend the signal coverage of the KIRK Base Stations or Wireless Servers used in KIRK wireless handset solutions.

Depending on the model used Polycom KIRK Repeaters,

• Deliver reliable robust and secure communications for VoIP and analogue solutions
• Are easy and quick to install
• Can extend the wireless handset solution into areas where it is difficult to run cable - repeaters require a PSU but no cables back to the base station or server. 
• Enable large areas to be covered without cabling – repeaters can be placed in cascade formation
• Can be ceiling mounted - when the ceiling mounting version is used
• Can be deployed outside or in hostile in-door environments - when mounted in approved enclosures
• Can be deployed in explosive or hazardous areas -  when mounted in approved ATEX enclosures

Deployment KIRK repeaters should be used in areas with limited voice traffic.  Repeaters are either multi or single cell and are available with either 2 or 4 voice channels.  The multi cell 2 channel wall mounted repeater can be supplied with an external antenna.  This allows the signal to be extended into a remote area such as an adjacent building.  Single cell repeaters will not work with multi-cell wireless handset solutions. Multi cell repeaters will work with single and multi-cell wireless handset solutions.  The allowable repeater and base station / wireless server combinations are shown in the table here.

In the example Kirk Repeaters are deployed in cascaded formation to extend the coverage of a KIRK Base Station over a large area and into outlying areas without needing to install signal cable.
