ATEX Case

The wall mountable ATEX cases allow KIRK base stations and repeaters to be fitted in explosive or hazardous areas and when used with the KIRK 4080 ATEX rated handset  provides a complete solution for provisioning communications in hazardous workplaces.

The cases are made of a fibre glass reinforced polyester molding material and are rated to work in hazardous environments within a  temperature range of  -40°C  and  +100°C.  Cables and power leads are connected through a high strength cable gland rated for use in hazardous and explosive potential environments.

Cable Solution

The ICON cabling solution for the KIRK 1500 analogue system enables quick error free installation and easy re-patching of ports.

RJ45 24 port 1U patch panels connect the KIRK 1500 with the base stations and the PBX extensions. The PBX patch panel ports link to the KIRK 1500 through a dedicated IWU cable. The base station patch panel ports link to the KIRK 1500 through a dedicated base station cable.

An adaptor is available to convert an IWU cable to a base station cable.

Demonstration & Survey Kit

The wireless demonstration and survey kit is the recommended support tool for ICON distribution partners.

The kit provides the capability to carry out site surveys and thus uncover any potential deployment issues and to present and sell KIRK products in a professional manner.   The kit comes in two variants standard and full.

The standard wireless demonstration and survey kit includes the items needed to sell and survey the complete range of KIRK solutions.

The full wireless demonstration and survey kit includes KIRK accessories, additional handsets, a Distybox and a repeater programming kit.

The KIRK deployment base provided with the kit is fitted with a screw thread adaptor enabling it to be mounted on a tripod for ease of use during the survey.

Enclosures

Designed for the KIRK base stations and repeaters the ICON external enclosures provide protection against outdoor weather and water and dust ingress in hostile indoor environments.

The enclosures are IP65 rated. They provide total protection against dust and protection against low pressure jets of water from all directions.  The external enclosure for the KIRK base station or repeater is shown.

IP to RS232 adaptor

The IP to RS-232 adaptor enables a user to remotely administer a KIRK 500 or KIRK 1500 analogue wireless server via the CCFP admin tool.

An ICON TechDoc is available which describes how to use the adpator to programme the KIRK 1500 and 500 analogue solutions by computers located anywhere on the local or wide area network.

The adaptor connects directly to the serial port of a KIRK 1500 analogue server.  It connects to the RJ45 port of a KIRK 500 through a KIRK 500 programming adaptor.

KIRK repeater programming kit

A KIRK repeater programming kit is required when deploying KIRK repeaters on KIRK DECT solutions.

The KIRK repeater programming kit connects a laptop or PC to the repeater and allows the repeater to be set up using the KIRK service tool software application.

KIRK 500 programme adaptor

A KIRK 500 programme adaptor is required when installing a KIRK wireless server 500 or 500CLI solution.

The KIRK 500 programming adaptor connects a laptop or PC to the KIRK 500 or 500CLI via a cat 5 Ethernet cable (not supplied) and allows the server to be set up using the KIRK CCFP admin tool software application.

Mounting bracket

The ICON universal mounting bracket is extremely versatile. Base Stations, Repeaters or KIRK 500/600 units can be mounted from floor, ceiling, walls or steel beams. The base station mounting plate can be rotated and the length of the arm can be cut to size.

Tripod mountable deployment base

A kit is available which converts a non tripod mountable KIRK deployment base into a tripod mountable unit.

Tripod mounting enables the deployment base to be placed easily near to the spot where the base or repeater will be mounted thereby enabling more reliable signal strength readings to be made during the survey

A professional tripod will allow the deployment base to be positioned at up to 3 metres height above the floor.
