Durability & Approvals

Polycom KIRK handsets are tested for use in the workplace against independent third party tests and are thus extremely durable unlike consumer-grade phone designs.

Durability

Rigorous testing against internationally recognised standards ensures that the handsets will deliver reliable performance in the most demanding work places and gives,

Confidence that the handset will provide long term reliability in the most demanding workplace environments Reassurance that the tests used will stretch the handset to the limit Confidence that the performance criteria are real world measures Third part assurance as to the performance of the handsets

The handsets are tested against a range of stringent usage tests as well as international standards .  The standards used include the independent IEC standards and in some cases USA military standards. 

Approvals

Handsets in the 4000 series have won approvals for IP classification and hazardous area working.  The approving bodies are ATEX and CENLEC which award the IP ratings
