Running MESSAGEmanager IP FAX in a virtual environment can significantly improve performance in high volume multi user IP sites. Virtualisation allows the organisation to make full use of the available MESSAGEmanager fax resources by removing potential bottlenecks in high volume multi user IP sites

Physical machine environments

The MESSAGEmanager Application Printing service converts documents, such as Word or PDF files to TIF for transmission as a fax or Postscript for transmission by email as a PDF file.   This may take a few seconds or up to a minute and in high volume multi user IP sites this may become a bottleneck preventing full use of available fax resources. 

Virtual machine environments

Virtualisation allows multiple instances of Application Printing services to run on any number of virtual machines.  This significantly improves the performance of Application Printing, enabling MESSAGEmanager FAX to support multiple users in an enterprise transmitting multiple attachments.
