E-Document Delivery
eDocument Delivery is an intelligent technology that uses rules to analyse the content of documents generated by Oracle applications for delivery to fax, email and printer destinations. It can distinguish between different types of documents, handle each type uniquely, and determine the destination fax or email address.
There is no requirement to modify host applications with proprietary tags for the fax address etc and you don’t have to change the way you use the application. eDocument Delivery maps the addressing details from the application content, dramatically simplifying the process of fax enabling host applications. With e-Document Delivery, MESSAGEmanager appears as a logical printer to Oracle. A Field Mapper extracts a fax number from the print stream, inserts the destination details and the predefined Oracle digital forms and delivers the completed document to the destination address.

COM API
The Component Object Modeling (COM) API enables Oracle applications to customise MESSAGEmanager via VB, C++, JavaScript and VBScript. The COM interface supports transmission of any type of file attachment, incoming messages and message queries from Oracle applications.

Network Printer API or File Pick Up API
From Oracle Reports, you can generate a print file with embedded fax commands and print to a PostScript print queue on the Communications Server. The NT print queue acts as the transport from Oracle to the MESSAGEmanager File API. Commands embedded in the document control the fax destination, billing code, optional notification delivery details and a range of other fax related options.

Jetform Output Pak
Jetform submits faxes to MESSAGEmanager via the Postscript Network Printer Interface or the PCL API directory. With Jetform the formatting is stored in the Jetform form and not on the report, so that only the data elements appear there. The Jetform Output Pak contains a variety of field tagged reports and pre-designed form templates that work “out-of-the-box” with Oracle applications. The forms and reports can be implemented without making changes to the Oracle application or its existing reports. The Jetform reports are simplified versions of the standard Oracle reports, which are added to those already in the system. New forms can be easily created with the Output Pak’s Form Builder.
