ATEX Case

The wall mountable ATEX cases allow KIRK base stations and repeaters to be fitted in explosive or hazardous areas and when used with the KIRK 4080 ATEX rated handset  provides a complete solution for provisioning communications in hazardous workplaces. 

The cases are made of a fibre glass reinforced polyester molding material and are rated to work in hazardous environments within a  temperature range of  -40°C  and  +100°C.  Cables and power leads are connected through a high strength cable gland rated for use in hazardous and explosive potential environments.

ICON Sales & Survey Kit

The ICON sales and survey (ISS) kit for Polycom KIRK DECT solutions is the professional support tool for sales and installation professionals. 

The kit is housed in a stylish presentation case which contains the items you need to :

• Deliver a professional sales presentation
• Carry out a comprehensive wireless survey
• Set up a live demonstration

The standard kit includes all the items needed to sell and survey the full range of Polycom KIRK solutions.  The professional kit adds the ability to show a wider range of handsets.

The ISS kit comes with an ICON sales and survey base fitted with an adaptor to enable it to mount on a lighting tripod.

Enclosures

Designed for the KIRK base stations and repeaters the ICON external enclosures provide protection against outdoor weather and water and dust ingress in hostile indoor environments.

The enclosures are IP65 rated. They provide total protection against dust and protection against low pressure jets of water from all directions.  The external enclosure for the KIRK base station or repeater is shown.

KIRK repeater programming kit

A KIRK repeater programming kit is required when deploying KIRK repeaters on KIRK DECT solutions. 

The KIRK repeater programming kit connects a laptop or PC to the repeater and allows the repeater to be set up using the KIRK service tool software application.

Mounting bracket

The ICON universal mounting bracket is extremely versatile. Base Stations, Repeaters or KIRK 500/600 units can be mounted from floor, ceiling, walls or steel beams. The base station mounting plate can be rotated and the length of the arm can be cut to size.

ICON sales and survey base

The ISS base is the only professional solution available for selling and surveying Polycom KIRK DECT mobility solutions.

Selling: Live demos of the handsets can be instantly set up at the customers premises. If the customer has a compatible IP-PBX then the ISS base can be quickly added to the telephone network to demonstrate integration with the phone solution.

 
Surveying: The ISS base is the ideal solution for surveying a customers premises or identifying possible deployment problems.  It is easy to place and hold in the desired position, has no power restrictions, and is designed for everyday use.  An ISS base mounted on a lighting tripod is often the only way to get reliable signal strength measurements and avoid post installation problems.

Tripod

A professional lighting stand similar to that shown allows the survey base to be positioned up to 3 metres height above the floor and as close to the actual mounting spot of the base or repeater as possible.  This means the survey signal strength readings will be a truer measure of actual signal strength.

Lighting stands such as the Portaflash Lighting Stand 3 can be sourced from any good professional photographic equipment outlet.

USB configuration/programming cradles

USB charging cradle are required for configuring and programming KIRK5000, 6000, 7000 handsets and the DECT mobility pendant. 

The cradles are identical to the standard charging cradles but are equipped with a USB port for connection to a PC.  Parameters and data can be set up, loaded and saved through a Windows interface via a serial cable from the PC to the cradle,
