The KIRK Wireless Server 1500 from Polycom is the scalable solution for SMEs and large businesses with analogue PBX systems wanting to give wireless handsets to up to 128 employees.
It is suited to organisations which need to provide telephone and messaging services over a large site or for a large number of employees.

Deployment
Base stations take the signal into the different areas. Each base station enables 4 simultaneous conversations within its coverage area. The number of simultaneous conversations in an area can be increased by adding base stations. Repeaters are used to expand the coverage or take the signal into areas where cabling is difficult - the repeater does not need any physical connection to a KWS1500. The KWS1500 can connect up to 16 base stations and 48 repeaters. A single KWS1500 supports up to 64 handsets. Two linked KWS1500s (using a link card) support up to 128 handsets and connect to up to 32 base stations and 96 repeaters.
In the example the system is extended into a second building using a base station repeater link. Within the building repeaters are cascaded to achieve the required coverage.
